2025 Work Duty Schedule
Outsourcing Your Work Duty
If you cannot fulfill your work duty and/or would prefer to hire a neighbor to do it for you, this can be arranged. The VP Grounds maintains a list of those who are willing to perform work duty for hire. Interested families will be provided a list of possible for-hire options but are responsible for coordinating the outsourcing themselves. Please contact VP Grounds if you would like access to this list for your assigned day.
Please note: PHRC Board does NOT set the price paid to those hired to fulfill work duty. That is negotiated between the hiring family and the hired person.
If your teenager is interested in being hired for outsourced work duty by another member, please email VP Grounds separately with their contact information including their first and last name, phone number they can be reached at, and email address. We will compile a list and send out this information privately to inquiring members.
All alternative work-duty tasks must be approved by the VP of Grounds PRIOR to completion. Please do not volunteer your time to the pool and then ask for it to count as your work duty afterwards, these requests will be declined.
It is your responsibility to find coverage for your assigned work duty day if you cannot attend. If you find a family to swap dates with or make alternative arrangements, please notify VP Grounds of these changes in advance so everyone who performs work-duty will receive credit for their time.
Of note, volunteering to co-host a social event counts towards your work duty obligation.
Members are welcome to pay $250 each year along with their annual renewal to opt-out of work duty.
If you do not fulfill your work duty, you will be charged $300 at the end of the season. No accommodations or arrangements will be made once the season is over and the pool has closed. Work duty obligations may not be carried over to the following year.
